HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY


Inky Co. Pty Ltd (Inky Co.) is committed to respecting human rights and believes that all people should be treated with dignity and respect, in line with our core values “Inky Co. cares for the wellbeing of all” and “Inky Co. acts with integrity”. 

Ethics is at the heart of everything Inky Co. does, and how we do it. The Inky Co. principles of Respect, Integrity, Courage, and Transparency are the day-to-day values we hold and adhere to.

Inky Co. seeks to create positive social impacts by mitigating human rights related risks and promoting respect for human rights within our business and activities. 

As a part of our commitment to respecting human rights, we will:

▪ Work to align our business activities and practices with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights;

▪ Treat employees fairly, without harassment or discrimination, and promote diversity in our workplace; 

▪ Recognise the rights of our employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining; 

▪ Will take actions to facilitate the prevention of work-related risks and health hazards; 

▪ Rejects all forms of slavery, forced or child labour, and will work to ensure that such practices are not present in our business or our supply chain; 

▪ Through appropriate due diligence, Inky Co. will seek to avoid knowingly engaging in business activities where it could be complicit in human rights abuses, including the Modern Slavery Act 2018 requirements; 

▪ If Inky Co. discovers that they are (or may be) associated with human rights violations, immediate appropriate action will be taken; 

▪ Respect the human rights of the community in which we operate; 

▪ Engage with stakeholders on human rights issues and provide an easily accessible complaints mechanism to resolve grievances in a timely manner; 

▪ Recognise the rights of all Indigenous peoples, acknowledging their connections to lands and waters and respecting their culture;

▪ Inky Co.'s parent company is a subscribing supplier-member of Sedex, an international organisation that monitors Human Rights within retail supply chains;

▪ Inky Co.'s parent company is a signatory to Mutual Ethical Commitment Letters from various companies that we supply products to;

▪ Communicate this policy both online as well as all stakeholders, including employees, contractors and suppliers, and those working within our supply chains, and provide human rights training to relevant employees. 

Respect for human rights are embedded in other Inky Co. policies and management systems.

All policies will be reviewed periodically to ensure they remain relevant to both the needs of Inky Co. and their customers.

PRIVACY POLICY


Inky Co. is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including correspondence, by telephone and facsimile, by email, via our website www.inkyco.com.au, from your website, from social media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

It is necessary to collect your Personal Information in order to conduct business with you. Personal information collected will be kept safe, confidential and respected. We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. Only those details deemed absolutely necessary including information required by law may be shared. You may access personal information we hold about you or you can ask us to correct personal information we hold about you. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by unsubscribing online or emailing us.

When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

• For the primary purpose for which it was obtained

• For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

• With your consent; or where required or authorised by law.

Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Disclosure of Personal Information
Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:
• Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and

• Where required or authorised by law.

Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to your Personal Information
You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us by email.

Inky Co. will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information
It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We  will  take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

Cookies
Inky Co. uses cookies to allow you to sign in to your account, maintain a shopping cart and to purchase items in your shopping cart. Cookies are tiny files of information that a web site stores on your computer. Cookies can be very useful to you when you shop online because they allow a website to store a cookie file on your computer which can show:
• What you have in your shopping cart
• What items you have bought before
• Other convenient but non-private information
Just having cookies turned "on" in your browser is not enough as many anti-virus and firewall software packages also block cookies. You must "Allow Cookies" in your web browser set up to be able to shop on the Inky Co. website. We do not keep a record of the IP addresses from which users access our site except where you have specifically provided us with information about yourself, in which case we also record your IP address for security purposes such as when proceeding to a checkout to finalise an order you may wish to make.
